Payroll and Benefits Clerk

This Opportunity:

A Payroll and Benefits Clerk (full-time, permanent) based at our National Office in Toronto. The successful candidate will support payroll operations, benefits administration, and employee data accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify incoming data and ensure documentation is attached

  • Follow up with regions for missing documents

  • Enter new hire information and update benefits systems

  • Support benefit package preparation and enrollments

  • Respond to employee paystub and benefit inquiries

  • Process manual cheques and deposit departmental cheques

  • Produce audit reports and disseminate designated reports

  • Sort incoming mail and verify updates daily

  • Provide backup support to the Payroll Admin & Benefits Coordinator

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or degree in a related field

  • 1–2 years of general administrative experience

  • Strong MS Excel and Word skills

  • HRIS and/or payroll system experience preferred

  • High attention to detail and accuracy

  • Excellent written and verbal communication

  • Collaborative team player

  • Customer service oriented
