The opportunity
This role is responsible for managing and driving a wide range of marketing activities for March of Dimes Canada (MODC). Reporting to the Senior Manager, Brand & Digital Marketing, the Marketing Specialist will be responsible for the delivery of day-to-day marketing tasks and processes and the planning, execution, and analysis of marketing campaigns. They will also ensure brand consistency while driving brand awareness
Responsibilities
• Develops content and marketing strategies on behalf of MODC to grow awareness of the brand, its services, and its initiatives.
• Initiates partnerships with internal stakeholders to develop content, including identifying target audiences, creating stories, establishing measurable goals, and providing regular reporting.
• Drives brand awareness in a managed and lead-generation manner in collaboration with the Senior Manager, Brand & Digital Marketing.
• Responsible for planning and executing marketing campaigns laid out in the marketing plan and providing reports on the campaign’s success.
• Assists in outbound and inbound marketing activities by demonstrating expertise in various areas such as content development and optimization, advertising, events planning, etc.
• Collaborates with the marketing and communications teams at large as well as cross-functionally to coordinate brand awareness and marketing efforts.
• Assists in analyzing marketing data (campaign results, conversion rates, traffic, etc.) to help shape future marketing strategies.
• Undertakes individual tasks of a marketing plan as assigned.
Qualifications and experience
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in marketing, business, or a related field
• Minimum three (3) years of experience in marketing, ideally in a brand management capacity.
• Thorough understanding of marketing elements, including traditional and digital marketing.
• Understanding of basic digital and social media marketing metrics and analytics – web traffic, email metrics, and social media metrics.
• Writes clearly and informatively and can edit work for spelling and grammar.
• Up to date on the latest trends and technologies in digital marketing.
• Maintains confidentiality/privacy of information where appropriate.
• Must be detail-oriented, with good time management.
• Well organized and able to develop project plans; coordinate projects; communicate changes and progress; complete projects on time and budget; and manage project team activities.
• Must be able to prioritize a wide variety of projects and deliverables.
• Experience with social media content creation and management (Twitter/X, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn) is an asset.

Hybrid work arrangement (our office is located at 99 Duncan Mill Rd)
Salary Range: $50,000 to $60,000 per year
