The opportunity:

Reporting to the Director of Product & Platforms. The Senior Business Analyst - Dayforce will play a crucial part in the successful implementation of our new Dayforce HCM platform, while ensuring a seamless transition from existing applications and databases. Your expertise in business analysis and project delivery at a senior level will be essential to driving this critical initiative forward.


You will be a key member of the project team through Phase 1 and 2 of the implementation. Phase 1 is currently in development and focuses on core HR, Payroll, and Workforce Management functionality as well as integration with our front-line scheduling software. Phase 2 will begin in Fall 2025 and includes Talent, Learning, and People Analytics.  

Dayforce experience is a must. This role may also include some project management and quality assurance responsibilities. Qualifications reflect these requirements.  

 

Responsibilities:

●    Lead the planning and execution of all business analysis activities throughout the HCM implementation project such as current state and gap analysis, requirements gathering and solution design sessions, etc.
●    Collaborate with key stakeholders and implementation partners to understand business needs and translate them into detailed business requirements and technical specifications for development.
●    Support development activities including solution design, testing, and demonstration of completed software functionality to stakeholders. 
●    Monitor and report progress, identify risks, and proactively address issues as they arise.
●    Work closely with technical teams to ensure smooth data migration from the legacy system to the new HCM platform, including identifying data retention and storage needs. 
●    Own the creation and updating of business analysis and select project management artifacts.
●    Support all phases of testing and quality assurance activities include review and development of test strategy and cases; some test execution may be required.
●    Plan, coordinate, and execute on the UAT strategy, including supporting testers, managing defects, and reporting progress.
●    Support the organization readiness team with development and review of communications, training, and change management plans. This may also include participation in content creation and delivery to end-users.
●    Serve as a liaison between stakeholders, project team, and external partners. 
●    Provide post-implementation project warranty and user enablement support. 

 

Required Qualifications:

●    Experience as a Senior Business Analyst, Implementation Consultant, or similar lead role on Dayforce-specific implementation project(s).
●    Experience with implementation of the following Dayforce products is required: Human Resources, Payroll, Workforce Management, Benefits, and Reporting. 
●    Direct experience leading analysis activities for API development and software integration including business requirements and technical specification documents, data mapping and process flow diagrams, and assessment and evaluation of solution designs.  
●    Experience with all phases of project delivery from initial planning stages through to post-implementation transition to operationalization. 
●    Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences and tailor content to various audience types.
●    Strong business acumen including demonstrated strategic thinking, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
●    Comfortable working independently and with initiative, translating higher level direction into actionable plans and activities, with a keen sense of ownership and accountability for completion and quality of work.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

●    Experience as a project manager or holding project management responsibilities within a software implementation project. 
●    Experience with development and execution of quality assurance testing, including managing integration testing.
●    Experience with implementation of Dayforce Talent, Learning, People Analytics, and additional features and services 
●    Familiarity with user experience design and digital accessibility standards 
●    Familiarity with change management and user enablement practices
●    Past employment in a related field or role such as non-profit sector, human resources operations, etc.

  • Location: Hybrid work arrangement (our office is located at 99 Duncan Mill Rd., Toronto, ON M3B 1Z2.

  • Contract length: 12 Months, available to start ASAP.
