The opportunity
All summer student employment opportunities are contract positions, ranging from 6 – 16 weeks during the summer months (April to August 2025) and are contingent on funding approval from the Canada Summer Jobs Program.
Reporting to the Community Support Supervisor, the Recreation Programmer will support programming for clients with disabilities at March of Dimes Canada
Responsibilities
- Lead programming for clients with disabilities by hitting the different domains.
- Provide administrative support related to various aspects of the role
- Perform individual programming and in a group setting
- Support with additional program administrative functions as needed
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Qualifications and experience
- Enrolled in or completed post secondary education in recreation programming, development services or related field
- Ability to work in a team and/or independently
- Exceptional communications and written skills
- Excellent organizational, planning and time management skills
- Attention to detail and an ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Salary: $22.00 per hour

To be considered for the 2025 Canada Summer Job program at MODC, please confirm you meet the eligibility criteria below as outlined by Service Canada:
- be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment.
- be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment.
- have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.
- Note: International students are not eligible participants.
