The opportunity

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Skills Development and Employment, the Early Learning Program Support Assistant will assist in delivery of the Move Learn Grow program, specifically, the curriculum delivered in Spring and Summer 2026

Responsibilities

  • Assist children enrolled in group classes with engagement in program activities. Group classes are led by Occupational Therapists and Recreation Therapists
  • Assist children to engage in the free play portion of OT consultations
  • Contribute to creation of resources for participants and families
  • Prepare program materials for use in group classes
  • Perform duties contributing to program delivery as assigned
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned  
     

Qualifications and experience

  • Enrolled in high school or post secondary education in a related field  
  • Ability to work in a team and/or independently
  • Exceptional communications and written skills
  • Excellent organizational, planning and time management skills
  • Attention to detail and an ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite 
      

Salary:  $17.60 per hour

Important Details

Start Date: May 11, 2026

Duration: 8 weeks

Work Arrangement: Hybrid- 99 Duncan Mills Rd, Toronto, ON

Eligibility criteria:

  • Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment 
  • Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment 
  • Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to
  • Work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations. 

Note: International students are not eligible participants.
