Part-Time Position: PSW/Support Service Attendant/Health Care Aide – St. Catharines

Our Community Support Services (CSS) team provides essential services that enable our clients to thrive. Whether their disability is physical, the result of brain injury, or aging, our more than 2,000 team members assist clients in their homes and across communities, to live as independently as possible.
This Opportunity
We are currently hiring Part-Time PSW/Support Service Attendants/Health Care Aides in the Niagara Region with varying hours.
- Starting Wage: $19.52 per hour, with paid travel time and mileage.
- Temporary Wage Enhancement: Eligible for $3.00 per hour from the Ontario government for hours spent directly supporting clients.
- Requirements: Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and reliable vehicle.
Key Duties:

Assist consumers in their homes with non-medical daily living activities according to individual service plans:
- Personal care
- Dressing and grooming
- Rising/retiring routines
- Incontinence care (upon training)
- Meal preparation and feeding
- Range of motion exercises
- Light housekeeping duties
- Lifts and transfers (upon training)
- Perform duties professionally, respecting dignity and privacy while maintaining consumer and staff health and safety.
- Be available to work multiple shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, across locations in the Niagara Region.
Qualifications:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Experience working with individuals with physical disabilities, older adults, or as an informal caregiver is an asset but not required.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Physical ability to perform job duties (self-assessment required upon hire).
- Flexible availability for regularly scheduled hours.
- Required: Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and reliable vehicle.
