Our Community Support Services (CSS) team provides essential services that enable our clients to thrive. Whether their disability is physical, the result of brain injury, or aging, our more than 2,000 team members assist clients in their homes and across communities, to live as independently as possible.

The Opportunity:
We are currently hiring for a Permanent Part-Time Support Services Attendant position as part of our Halton Outreach Program in Burlington, Milton, and Georgetown. This role includes days, evenings, and weekends and involves:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting clients in their homes with non-medical activities of daily living, in accordance with individual service plans:
    • Personal care
    • Lifts and transfers
    • Rising/retiring support
    • Bowel and bladder procedures
    • Meal preparation and feeding
    • Range of motion exercises
    • Light housekeeping duties
  • Maintaining professionalism and respecting the dignity, privacy, and health and safety of clients and staff.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current Standard First Aid and CPR certification
  • Experience working with individuals with physical disabilities or knowledge of independent living care models
  • Understanding of and abilities in transferring, lifting, bowel/bladder routines, and attendant care duties
  • Physical Demands Self-Analysis required upon hire
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible, regularly scheduled hours
