Our Community Support Services (CSS) team provides essential services that enable our clients to thrive. Whether their disability is physical, the result of brain injury, or aging, our more than 2,000 team members assist clients in their homes and across communities, to live as independently as possible.

The Opportunity

We are currently looking to fill one Full-Time Community Support Leader (CSL) position for a 12-month contract at 75 Cooperage St., Toronto with shifts scheduled from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM with  rotating weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support attendants in delivering non-medical activities of daily living

  • Provide leadership in safe and efficient CSS service delivery

  • Participate in on-call rotation

  • Work various shifts, including every other weekend

  • Support consumer goal setting, service planning, and resource access

  • Manage service agreements and renewals

  • Train and coach new and current staff

  • Handle conflict resolution and support positive change management

  • Engage in quality improvement initiatives

  • Communicate diplomatically with consumers, staff, and external partners

Qualifications:

  • Standard First Aid and CPR Certification (current)

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the Human Services field

  • Ability to lead and train staff effectively

  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills

  • Knowledge of:

    • Attendant care (transferring, lifting, bowel/bladder routines)

    • Physical disabilities and behaviour management

    • Health & Safety legislation

  • General computer skills

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle

  • Proven reliability and flexibility in performance

  • Ability to work varied shifts

  • Physical Demands Self-Analysis required upon hire
